Ami L. Travillian-Vonesh has taught Spanish at the high school and college levels since 1985. At the college level, she has taught levels 1000-2002.  At the high school level she specializes in Spanish for Native/Heritage Speakers and Advanced Placement classes. 

In 2010 she was awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Grant to travel to Spain for studies on picaresque literature and culture. During this program she collaborated on a wiki, which created materials on “El Castigo  de la Miseria”. She has also created classroom materials based on travels to various Spanish speaking countries, as well as numerous “Quia” activities.

She has taught at University of North Georgia/Gainesville College since 1997, and at East Hall High School in Hall County since 1995. Prior to coming to  East Hall, she taught in DeKalb County.

 In her free time she sails, reads and travels.
