Fenton Gardner

Born and raised in metro Atlanta, Mr. Gardner has long been a lover of languages and a translator of literature.  Having received his B.S. in International Affairs & Modern Language from Georgia Tech in 2004, Mr. Gardner preceded to earn an M.A. in Romance Languages & Literature from the University of Missouri – Kansas City (2009).  Mr. Gardner has taught Spanish at many levels and at many institutions including but not limited to:  Rockhurst University, Longview Community College, Art Institutes International, Summit Christian Academy and the University of Missouri – Kansas City.  He is a currently in his third year as an Instructor of Spanish at the University of North Georgia and a doctoral candidate in the PhD program in Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Georgia.  His academic interests include the Spanish of Equatorial Guinea (el español ecuatoguineano), phonetics & phonology,  literary translation, the Latin American short story and 20th century women writers from Spain.  He currently resides in Cumming, Georgia with his wife and two daughters.
