    He_Yunjuan

    Director, Yunjuan He

    Dr. He received her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Florida. She is Associate Professor of Chinese at the University of North Georgia. She was the Director of 2019 UNG STARTALK Summer Program and the Academic Director of UNG Flagship Chinese Program in AY 2014-2015. She is the Vice President of Georgia Chinese Language Educators (GCLE).

    Lead Instructor, Ying Kline

    Ms. Kline received her M.A. in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Middlebury College. She is a Lecturer of Chinese at the Pennsylvania State University. She has taught in several federal funded language programs, such as Critical Language Scholarship Program in Beijing (2012), Chinese Flagship Program at the University of Mississippi (2012-2014), 2018 Kansas City STARTALK program, and 2019 UNG STARTALK program.

    Science Education Consultant, Donna Governor

    Dr. Governor received her Ph.D. in Science Education from the University of Georgia. She is Associate Professor of Education at the University of North Georgia. Dr. Governor spent 32 years teaching at all levels, K-12 before moving to higher education in 2016. She is the 2007 Presidential Awardee for Excellence in Science Teaching for the state of Georgia and is a past president of the Georgia Science Teachers Association.

    Tutors

    Lili Fan

    Ms. Fan received her M.A. in Chinese Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She taught various levels of Chinese at the University of Georgia and Emory in 2015 and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009-2014.

    Fnu Jisi

    Ms. Jisi received her M.A. in Law from Waseda University in Japan. She taught Chinese at Foreign Language Academy (Knoxville, TN) in 2014-2015 and Tsukuba University (Japan) in 2010-2012.

    Edith Walk

    Ms. Walk is a senior student in UNG Flagship Chinese program. She achieved Advanced-Mid ACTFL OPI(c) score, Advanced-High BYU listening test score, and Advanced-Mid BYU reading test score, for Mandarin Chinese.

    Yao Xiong

    Ms. Xiong received her M.Ed. in Instruction and Learning in Foreign Language Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been teaching Chinese at Young Scholars of Central Pennsylvania Charter School (State College, PA) for seven years and she was a Mentor Teacher in 2017 Georgia State University Summer STARTALK Program.
