Good afternoon, I'm Jim Conneely, the vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at the University of North Georgia. I wanted to reach out to you as one of our fellow nighthawks.
Even though you're concerned about your online classes, and I do understand that, I recognize that some of you may not have signed up for an online course and this is new for you. But remember a couple things. One, even though this is a new process and something that is unique for us in this time, there's opportunities for you to learn different things. But there's also opportunity for you to take care of yourself. School is very, very important and many individuals are here to work with you. But also, you need to take care of yourself and any other family responsibilities you have and we will try to assist you and work with you and be as flexible as we can.
There are many things that we are offering online through virtual programs. Whether through our recreation and wellness programs, our student counseling, our health center, academic advising, student tutoring, there are people in financial aid and the student money management center that can assist you with questions that you might have and most of all we have three very talented Deans of Students - Dr. John Delaney, Dr Allison Paul and Dr. Michele Brown.
They will help you maneuver and navigate so you get the answers you need and so you have the opportunity to do what you want to do best, which is be successful in your academic endeavors.
And please all I ask is that you reach out. We will be there to do what we can do to assist you.
Thank you.
