Lauren Howard

Title: Associate Director of Student Counseling

Ms. Howard joined the University of North Georgia in January 2018. Since 2013, she has experience working in community and forensic mental health with a variety of age ranges and presenting concerns, focused primarily on severe and persistent mental illness. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Emory University and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University. Her counseling approach is diverse with a focus on cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and psychoeducational interventions. Her areas of interest include trauma, relationship concerns, effective communication, and adjustment to adulthood.
