Sarah joined UNG Student Counseling in 2017 after working in private practice in Atlanta. She holds a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. Prior to pursuing a career in counseling, Sarah worked in cognitive assessment in private practice and at hospitals such as Grady and the Shepherd Center. Sarah has published research on resilience in transgender youth. In addition to generalist skills in working with anxiety and depression, Sarah also specializes in trauma and working with people who identify as LGBTQ. Her colleagues have called her “a creative and trustworthy clinician." Whoever you are, you deserve to be listened to, valued, and supported.
