Limited Term Tutor I - Writing

    Phone706-310-6294

Office locationStudent Resource Center, 583,  Oconee

    Overview

Michelle’s fascination with language started at an early age. Growing up in rural Georgia, the stories she read became signifiers of possibility. Her early readings factored into her desire to attend college.

As a first-generation student, her work as a Student Assistant in the Office of Student Involvement was central to her academic engagement and undergraduate success. Michelle’s coursework in English cultivated her voice and sense of agency, qualities she hopes to encourage among students through discourse and civic engagement. Michelle’s experience as a Student Assistant inspired her to continue in higher education after she graduated.

Currently, she serves as a Staff Associate with hopes to share the same sense of belonging and empowerment that was offered to her through Student Involvement.
