Upward Bound @ Johnson High
The University of North Georgia Upward Bound program provides support to eligible high school students, encouraging them to achieve new successes and motivating them to build skills as they prepare for college.
With access to academic advising, mentoring, field trips and other educational opportunities, Upward Bound participants can expect to be propelled to their highest potential, ready and able to succeed in the next level of their academic careers.

Who is Eligible?
- First-generation college students (Neither parent has completed a Bachelor's degree)
- Students who meet federal income guidelines
- Students in grades 9-12
- Students with academic potential
- Students who need academic support
