UNG offers the Gifted In-Field Endorsement, approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC Rule 505-2-.12) which states: "An individual with the Gifted In-Field Endorsement is in-field to provide direct instruction to gifted students only in the grade levels and fields of the base certificate(s). Direct instruction may be provided in resource classes, advanced content classes and/or cluster group classes."

Graduate Admission Procedures for Non-Degree Students

Gifted Endorsement Add-on Application
Summer 2017 Admission - To begin courses in June 2017 complete Gifted endorsement online application by May 15, 2017. Applications must be completed and payment received to attend June 2017 courses.
Financial Aid & Payment Information
Financial aid is not available for endorsement programs.
Tuition for graduate credit can be paid online to the UNG Business Office.
Payment for PLU credit --- Payment ($550 per course) must be made in full by deadline. Please make check payable to: Pioneer RESA, and write 'Gifted Endorsement UNG' on the MEMO line. All Gifted Endorsement courses require a subscription to LiveText. If you do not already have a subscription, you may purchase one online at LiveText ('Standard Edition'). However, if you have a LiveText subscription, you may use it. But you must contact LiveText (email@example.com) and ask them to 'add the University of North Georgia domain to your account”.

UNG’s Gifted Endorsement Program is a four course sequence offered completely online. UNG Gifted Endorsement courses are highly engaging and utilize state of the art learning platforms and instructional strategies. The program focuses on training teachers of the gifted as well as helping on-level teachers differentiate for their academically advanced students. Program is created and delivered by the faculty and staff of the UNG College of Education.

*Students take one course per term and all courses must be taken in order.
Candidates will complete all assignments, discussions, and activities online in the Desire2Learn course management system while utilizing Casenex, and LiveText.
