Math 1111 Eligibility Exam

Before You Register

MATH 1111: College Algebra Eligibility 

If your previous test scores were any of the following:

  • ACTM: 18-19
  • Old SATM: 440-460
  • New SATM:480-500

This placement test will determine your eligibility to enroll in MATH 1111: College Algebra.

Students who do not meet the eligibility are required to begin their math coursework at UNG in either MATH 1001: Quantitative Skills, or MATH 1101: Mathematical Models.

College Algebra Learning Support Eligibility

If your previous test scores were any of the following:

  • ACTM: Less than 18
  • Old SATM: Less than 440
  • New SATM: Less than 480

This placement test will determine eligibility to enroll in Corequisite Learning Support for College Algebra, in which students are co-enrolled in two math courses: MATH 0999: Support for College Algebra; plus MATH 1111: College Algebra.

Students who do not meet the eligibility are required to begin their Learning Support coursework in either MATH 0997: Support for Quantitative Skills, plus MATH 1001: Quantitative Skills OR MATH 0998: Support for Mathematical Models, plus MATH 1101: Mathematical Models

What to Expect

✔ You must provide a valid government issued photo ID.

✔ If you arrive fifteen minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may not be allowed to test.

✔ Length of Exam: Varies/Untimed

Retests must be approved by Dede deLaughter. The testing center must then be notified of the approval via email.

Step One: Register and Pay

Please register and pay your $15 administration fee payable by credit/debit card. All testing fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Note: You must use a different web browser other than Internet Explorer. 

Step Two: Schedule Your Appointment

Contact your testing center to schedule your appointment.
