Math 1111 Eligibility Exam

  • After reading the information below and before registering for the MATH 1111 Eligibility test, please contact Dede deLaughter, 706-310-6207, to discuss any implications of taking the test.
  • For students whose ACTM is 18-19, old SATM is 440-460, and/or new SATM is 480-500, this placement test will determine eligibility to enroll in MATH 1111, College Algebra. Students who do not meet the eligibility are required to begin their math coursework at UNG in MATH 1001, Quantitative Skills, or MATH 1101, Mathematical Models.
  • For students whose ACTM is <18, old SATM is <440, and/or new SATM is <480, this placement test will determine eligibility to enroll in Corequisite Learning Support for College Algebra, in which students are co-enrolled in two math courses: MATH 0999, Support for College Algebra; plus MATH 1111, College Algebra. Students who do not meet the eligibility are required to begin their Learning Support coursework in MATH 0997,
Support for Quantitative Skills, plus MATH 1001, Quantitative Skills, OR MATH 0998, Support for Mathematical Models, plus MATH 1101, Mathematical Models.

  • The fee is $15, and must be paid through RegisterBlast (links below) before your arrival at the Testing Center. Please use a web browser other than Internet Explorer. All testing fees are nontransferable and nonrefundable.
  • To schedule your Elementary Algebra test, contact the UNG Testing Center where you wish to test.
  • Prior to your test, please use the Placement Test Practice site, following the recommendations for the Math portion.
