Faculty Undergraduate summer engagement (FUSE)
FUSE seeks to engage teams of faculty and students in focused and meaningful research, scholarly and creative activities from mid-May through the end of June. Research teams will be awarded a faculty stipend of $4,000, a student stipend of $2,500, and up to $500 for materials necessary to complete the scholarly project.
Student Start-up FUSE
The Student Start-Up FUSE Program is very similar to the FUSE program, except the research project is student-initiated and student-led. Research teams will be awarded a faculty stipend of $3,500, a student stipend of $2,500, up to $500 for student travel to present findings at external conferences, and up to $500 for materials necessary to complete the scholarly project.
Mini grants offer up to $3,000 in supply funding to support undergraduate research projects in all academic areas. Faculty members should apply during the fall semester and may choose to allocate some of their funding to take on student assistants. Mini grants funds are not to be used for travel unless it is absolutely critical to the research project.
Travel grants of up to $500 are provided by CURCA to assist students who wish to present their scholarship at external conferences. CURCA accepts applications for travel grants in both the fall and spring semesters.
