Selecting a Refund Preference

Before receiving refunds, the student must select a preference. The student has the option of receiving refunds by doing an ACH transfer to a bank account or putting their refund on the pre-paid Discover Debit card. Understanding the UNG Card Accounts

The UNG ID Card has 3 different account attached to the card that can be utilized in different ways

General Account InfoPayment Options
May be used as your UNG Refund Preference DC
Can be used at all UNG Dining locations CDDC
Can be loaded on your Nighthawks Card using a major credit/debit card anytime C
Can be reloaded immediately when the funds run low at any time C
Can be reloaded by upgrading Discover account and doing a wire transfer for a fee DC
Carries over from semester to semester (and year to year) C
May write checks and make ATM cash withdrawals DC
Offers a 5% discount when used at on-campus dining locations and UNG Bookstore (discount excludes textbooks and military merchandise) C
Available with the purchase of a meal plan D
Expires at the end of each semester D

  • Discover Debit Cards can be used anywhere Discover is accepted.
  • Campus Cash can only be spent at the specified locations.
