What is AskNigel?

AskNigel is a chatbot and live chat addition to 

AskNigel is designed to increase students access to UNG resources, services and policies, and is one of several student success initiatives being provided through a federal Title III Strengthening Institutions grant obtained in 2018.


The chatbot portion uses artificial intelligence (AI) equipped with information from our website. It is ready to help you find answers to commonly asked questions. The more it is used, the smarter the AI will become and the bigger its "brain" will be. At launch, it already has almost 7,000 questions in its brain.

Live Chat

Several departments and units are already set up to offer live chat, making it easier than ever to connect with them. When live agents are available to answer your questions, you will see an option to chat with a person. If live agents aren't available, you will still be able to use the AI chatbot portion of AskNigel.
