2.2 UNG Usage

Using the UNG Logo

The University of North Georgia (UNG)  logo appears in the upper-left corner of every page on the website. No other UNG logo should appear on the page. Do not copy the logo off of the website for use in other materials. The version on the web was created for this platform and should only be used here. If you need the UNG logo, contact University Relations.

For more information regarding the correct usage and variations of the University of North Georgia logo, see the UNG Visual Identity Guide.

Special Note: The blue and gold "swoosh" located under the UNG logo at the top of the website is a stylistic treatment for the website and not part of the UNG brand. It should not be reproduced for other graphics or as part of UNG branding materials.

Using a UNG Spirit Logo

Only official UNG student spirit logos created by University Relations may be added to the body content of your website. These logos must be right-aligned and can be no larger than 300 x 300 pixels. No logos are permitted in the impact image area.

Using the University Name

  • It is a best practice to use University of North Georgia (UNG) for the first reference in text. For secondary references, UNG is appropriate.
  • For a specific campus, use, for example, University of North Georgia's Gainesville Campus for the first reference. UNG's Gainesville Campus can be used in subsequent mentions.
  • Never use “NG”, or any of the previous institution's names to reference current activities at UNG.
  • The noun “university” is not capitalized when it stands alone.

UNG follows Section 508 Standards and WCAG 2.0 for web accessibility. If you require the content on this web page in another format, please contact the ADA Coordinator.
