*Please note, there is no audio for this video. All instructions are below.

Step One: Go to the UNG Interactive Map

Step Two: Choose the Campus in the Left Menu

  • When you land on the map, you will see the zoomed out, regional view of all five UNG campuses.
  • In the left menu, select the campus you would like to make a map of.
  • When you check the box, the map will zoom onto the campus.

Step Three: Select the Printer Icon in the Top Right Corner of the Map

  • You will see two options, "Print (Basic)" and "Generate Print Map"

Step Four: Select "Generate Print Map"

Step Five: Place the Map Section in the red, dotted-lined box

  • You can zoom in or out, depending on if you want either the whole map or just a small section.

Step Six: Make Your Selection

  • Section 1
    • Page size: Choose the size of the paper you will print the map on.
    • Orientation: Choose landscape (horizontal orientation) or portrait (vertical orientation.)
    • We recommend checking the "Sort legend alphabetically" box.
  • Section 2
    • You should already be zoomed in on the campus you are creating a map for.
    • Use the arrows to the left of the check boxes to collapse or to open the options for each campus and the category.
    • Select the checkbox(es) for the categories and/or locations you would like displayed on the map.
  • Section 3
    • Double check all of your selections from the previous section are within the red dotted-line box. Zoom in and out if necessary.
  • Section 4
    • Print title: This will appear in the bottom right corner of the map. We recommend including the campus name and the category selected.
      • Examples:
        • UNG Gainesville Campus Student Services
        • UNG Oconee Campus Visitors Information
    • File type: Choose PDF or PNG.
    • Grid lines: We recommend selecting "no." Choosing "yes" will add a grid overlay to the map.
    • Legend Colors: The legend will use either the map colors or just black and white.
    • Turn off map: Checking this box will remove the surrounding map area, leaving only the campus rendering.
    • Turn off renderings: Checking this box will remove the 3D maps and will leave only the one-dimensional street map view.
  • Section 5
    • Select "Generate Print Map." Please be patient. Depending on the amount of markers selected, it can take between one to three minutes for the file to download. Do not refresh your browser or exit out of the page, or else you will have to start over.
