How Do I Make My Complex Images Accessible to Everyone?

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0):

These are the basic guidelines you should use if you are considering placing images of charts, diagrams, or text on your website.

1.1.1 Non-text Content: All non-text content that is presented to the user has a text alternative that serves the equivalent purpose. (Level A)

1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum): The visual presentation of text and images of text has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1: (Level AA)

1.4.5 Images of Text: If the technologies being used can achieve the visual presentation, text is used to convey information rather than images of text: (Level AA)
