UNG Annual Research Conference 2023

p>The University of North Georgia's 28th Annual Research Conference will be held on the Dahlonega campus in the Convocation Center and take place on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.. We welcome all students, faculty, staff, and the general public to make time to join us and engage with our student presenters as they demonstrate their research that they've participated in over the past year. This event is free and open to the public to attend.

ARC invites student research presentations, posters, and creative activities from across the disciplines from UNG undergraduate or graduate students. We will hold a poster session at 12 pm and several concurrent panels beginning from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Convocation Center, Dahlonega campus. At 3:00 pm, Dr. Diogo Pinheiro and Dr. Kathryn Quinto will host a workshop discussing applying for graduate school. We invite all students to attend! We will also upload the ARC 2023 program here once decisions have been made and the schedule has been created.


Oral panel presentations are concurrent and set up by discipline and subject. Panel presentations are scheduled by room and will occur between 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Please see the program to view the panel times, room, and subjects when it is completed and uploaded

  • Oral presenters: aim to arrive 30 minutes early to check in, but we encourage everyone to come early to check out the panels and poster session. Please remember to send us your PowerPoint presentation by March 20 at noon so we can get the presentation queued up before your panel begins. Email this file to curca@ung.edu.

Poster Session will take place on the Arena Floor, Convocation Center on the Dahlonega campus starting at noon on March 24. Please view the program when it is completed and uploaded to view the titles of the posters being presented.

  • Poster presenters: aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early to check in and set up the poster, but we encourage everyone to come in early to experience the panels of your fellow peers. Please contact your department for help printing out your poster and the final size should be 3’ x 4’ (36” high x 48” wide). If you'd like us to print your poster, please email the file to CURCA@ung.edu by March 14 at 12 pm.

Applying to Graduate School Workshop

All students are welcome to join Dr. Diogo Pinheiro and Dr. Kathryn Quinto as they discuss applying to graduate school. This workshop will be held after panel presentations at 3:00 pm in the Covocation Center, room 219 on March 24.
