Community Engagement

A key component of UNG’s Strategic Plan is community engagement. Our team works to connect campus and community through the development of partnerships that enhance educational opportunities, address critical social issues, and drive economic prosperity. Much of our work is focused in communities within UNG’s 30-county service area.

Need assistance to engage with UNG? The Nighthawk Community Connector provides centralized two-way communication for community members to submit requests for support.

The University of North Georgia holds the Carnegie Foundation Community Engagement Classification, an elective designation that indicates institutional commitment to community engagement. UNG was one of the first institutions in Georgia to be awarded the designation in 2010 as then – North Georgia College & State University and has maintained the designation since then.
