What did you like best about the UNG McNair program?

The thing I liked best about UNG's McNair program was that it put me in contact with mentors who gave me the support needed to exceed my old expectations about myself such as pushing me to go to graduate school.

What do you wish you knew before you started grad school?

I wish I better appreciated that grad school is a totally different level than undergrad. I can't afford to strive for anything less than perfection at the graduate level.

What difficulties have you faced in Grad school?

One difficulty I have faced in grad school is feeling of being isolated in a new city during a pandemic. I also moved up here in the middle of winter, which makes going outside and exploring new places even harder. I am eager to make local friends and to join local communities that interest me.
