Appalachian Studies Center's Food Pantry

Fresh Produce

On Mondays and Wednesdays, the UNG's Food Pantry at the Appalachian Studies Center/Historic Vickery House will have fresh produce donated by local gardeners and farmers.

Use, volunteer or donate!

In 2016, the Appalachian Studies Center and a committee of UNG volunteers opened a food and supply pantry at the Historic Vickery House for students, staff and faculty. (Another pantry is located on the Gainesville campus in the Student Center.) More than 360 institutions of higher education across the country have opened similar pantries.

This pantry uses a supermarket model; you “shop” for yourself to get the food you need for that week.
