    • Does the Launch Pad, Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Mike Cottrell College of Business, or the University of North Georgia take equity in my business?

      Absolutely not! It is your business. The Launch Pad and the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation are here to help you succeed in launching successful businesses that grow the north Georgia economy, solve problems and create rewarding learning experiences. Your story will be told and celebrated.

    • How do I get started in the Launch Pad?

      Set up a meeting to talk about your idea with a staff member within the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and become a member of the Launch Pad.

    • What kind of help is available at the Launch Pad?

      Help varies by project. Assistance can be provided in various ways based on the level of development of your business.

    • What is the cost to become a member of the Launch Pad and start a business?

      While you are a student, faculty or staff member at UNG there is no cost, but you will be required to complete an application and meet certain rules and regulations. For non-UNG members, there is a charge that varies depending on the level of participation. The costs are determined based on a menu of offerings.

    • Can any university major become a member and start a business in the Launch Pad?

      Students, faculty and staff from any academic or non-academic area of the University are welcome to launch their business at the Launch Pad.

    • I’m not ready to start a business, but I really like the idea of entrepreneurship. How can I get involved?

      Become a member of the Launch Pad and hang out or attend some of the events or workshops and/or join the StartupUNG entrepreneurship student organization.

    • Are there UNG alumni, business owners or mentors I can work with?

      Yes! A mentor program exists to help match the Launch Pad members and other entrepreneurs with professionals who have volunteered time for mentoring. These mentors are experienced, enthusiastic and experienced entrepreneurs, business executives and/or specialists.

    • I’ve got an idea but I don’t have a team. Can I find team members?

      Yes! The Launch Pad helps entrepreneurs find and recruited talented team members. Launch Pad events are another resource for building a dream team – check out the calendar of events on the Launch Pad overview page.

    • How can I obtain funding for my startup?

      Startup events, pitch competitions, online funding sites, VCs, angel investors or programs offered by the Launch Pad are a few potential ways to find funding.

    • I’m not a UNG student, faculty or staff member, so can I still get help?

      The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Mike Cottrell College of Business and the University of North Georgia are part of a larger entrepreneurial ecosystem and desire to support startups and entrepreneurs of all ages and experience levels. So, while we may not be able to help in every case, we likely know someone who can.
