MSA Welcome Day

Each year, the Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) office holds a Welcome Day event. This event is designed to make all students feel welcome on campus, build a sense of community, and introduce students to the services that MSA offers.

This event is very impactful for students, often sparking involvement in student organizations throughout their college careers. Melissa Hernandez said, “Welcome Day was a great opportunity for me to meet other incoming freshmen. Since we were all on the same boat, it was easy to relate and form new friendships. Going into college already knowing several people on-campus made all the difference!”

Welcome Day also serves as a way to “break the ice” for the more introverted student. There icebreakers and, sometimes, impromptu dance parties break out. "Welcome Day was a great experience, my favorite part was the dancing!" stated Brittany Yancy.

We encourage all incoming freshmen to attend Welcome Day! We hope to see you there!
