Veterans Appreciation Week Kick-Off

“UNG Loves Our Vets” stickers will be available for faculty, staff, and students to wear to show support and appreciation for student veterans. Free coffee and breakfast will be provided while supplies last.

The annual National Roll Call remembers those who have made the ultimate sacrifice during the global war on terror. In addition, those who have served in the past and those currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces will be honored and remembered.
If you would like to have a family member or friend recognized during the event, kindly complete and submit the Honor/Memory of Military Personnel form. Names that have been previously submitted do not need to be resubmitted.
The United States Marine Corps will celebrate the 248th year since its establishment on November 10, 1775. To help the Marine Corps celebrate, all faculty, staff, students, active military, military veterans, and the general public are invited to attend a traditional cake-cutting ceremony, hear the Golden Eagle Band play the Marine’s Hymn, and enjoy the fellowship of Marines and their citizen supporters.

Student Veterans of North Georgia are hosting a friendly dodgeball game to promote health and fun activities during Veterans Appreciation Week. All UNG students, faculty, and staff are invited. No pre-registration is required. Snacks and drinks will be provided while supplies last.
