Vanessa Amore Jones, DNP, MSN, BSN is an assistant professor of nursing for the College of Health Sciences & Professions. She is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), Albany State University (Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner), and University of Alabama at Birmingham (Doctor of Nursing Practice). Her clinical practice as a family nurse practitioner includes primary care of migrant populations and public health. She was appointed assistant professor at UNG in August 2016. Her research interests are global health and health promotion and prevention in vulnerable populations.
