Rachael Walton-Mouw, PT, DPT, GCS
Overview
Dr. Walton-Mouw attended the North Georgia’s Physical Therapy program in 1996. After graduation, she joined the team at Grady Health Systems and developed a love for acute care, amputee rehab, and geriatrics. She is currently teaching the course dedicated to Geriatric Physical Therapy, Patient Care Skills focused on Acute Care, Kinesiology, and Interventions/Modalities. She is also involved in the Integrated Clinical Experience (ICE) courses which gives DPT students opportunities to engage with community members in the STAR Clinic, UNG DPT’s pro-bono PT outpatient clinic, and the Early Mobility Program at NGMC Lumpkin hospital.
Her professional passion and research platform is centered on improving the care of hospitalized older adults. She also has interest in development of mobile apps for physical therapy and currently has two apps published in iTunes and one in Google Play, Gait Speed and SPPB Calculator.
