2019 Annual Research Conference

So the annual research conference allows students to be able to share the work

that they've been working on for the past couple of years while they're here

undergraduate students with other students outside of their discipline.

So research to me is really just that ability to answer those questions that

are burning within us.

There were about 400 photos that were overlapping to create a

3d image and I was able to 3d print it. This is my cicada.

So I'm researching on

data forensics and how augmented reality can improve the field specifically in

the area of the users workspace. And the goal is to allow users to create a

modular workspace using this headset and this headset specifically is the

Microsoft Hololens.

I think that the art and the music additions this year were received very

very well. I think the students that were a part of those that were there are

artists they showcased some amazing work.

I try to get different themes involved here,

so we have the best friend, the service member and then the lover and

then finally the departed.

So I think that benefit for students presenting in

a conference like the Annual Research Conference is that they're given a

chance to practice those soft skills that employers and graduate schools are

so desperately wanting out of their their their new hires and their new

students.
