(The freshman experience at UNG)

Colton Leonard: (UNG freshman, Dahlonega) It's a scary time in your life, to be going off to college, but once you get here, you realize how friendly and how welcoming the environment is and you really feel like it's like a home away from home.

Ariunana Washington: (UNG freshman, Dahlonega) Coming here to orientation, I was kind of isolated in the beginning But whenever we broke down into small groups I kinda opened up more and started talking with people. I found people that I actually relate to.

Beth Lewis: (parent of UNG freshman) All the students and the professors that we saw as we were walking around taking the tour was just genuinely sincere and they were very happy and they just seemed to be really enjoyed being here on campus.

Grace Magrino: (SGA president, Oconee) Faculty and staff are always waiting for you to ask for help. And your professors knowing your name makes the experience and your education that much more personal. Get involved in our clubs, intramural sports, leadership and events held on campus. It takes so much more than just attending your classes to become successful.

Elton Garcia: (President of UNG Debate Club) Teachers, communications teachers, sometimes they will give you credit they will give you extra credit if you compete in these types of things. Especially in this one, we have intramurals at the end of the semester, in December. So you can always compete for that.

Taryn Broomfield: (UNG freshman, Gainesville) I knew some people, but I was homeschooled before so I've gotten to meet a lot of different people. My favorite thing has been the classes. There's a lot of really great subjects.

Makayla Richards: (UNG freshman, Gainesville) It's a really nice place to be and there's like small classes which is why I'm here in the first place. And you feel like sort of a connection with your teacher

Gudalupe Soto: (UNG Freshman, Gainesville) I'm the first one to come to college out of my family, so it's something new for me. I'm trying to serve as a role model for them just to follow in my footsteps. And making my parents proud and myself proud too.

Jordan Dixon: (UNG freshman, Gainesville) And it's actually pretty great being a freshman here at the University of North Georgia.
