  4. Why UNG?

UNG Welcomes our Tennessee and North Carolina Neighbors!

It pays to be our neighbor.

For Our Neighbors in Hamilton, Bradley, Polk, Cherokee, Graham, Clay, Swain, Macon, & Jackson Counties

If you or your parent/legal guardian live in any of these border counties, you're eligible to attend UNG using in-state tuition rates.

A key part of the college search is finding the best school that's not too far from home. At the University of North Georgia, we know we can make the short list for any high school senior's college search, but we also don't want a state line to keep our neighbors to the north from attending UNG.

That's why, for select counties in Southeast Tennessee and Southwest North Carolina, we are offering in-state tuition for incoming students!
