Career Services can be especially beneficial to our adult learners and military veterans. Their staff will assist in resume writing and editing, preparing students for interviews, and they even provide aptitude tests that can help a student determine which field he or she may be interested in. Their staff also hosts events and workshops throughout the semester covering a variety of topics that have included a guide to applying for graduate schools and career fairs.
Student Counseling complements the academic experience of the student body by facilitating healthy personal, social, and intellectual development of our students. Life circumstances, trauma, skills deficits, and/or mental health problems may at times interfere with a student's ability to successfully achieve important academic and life goals. Counseling center staff help students to identify their problems, manage their emotions, learn new problem-solving skills, and successfully meet academic, social, and life challenges.
Student Accessibility Services (SAS) at UNG makes sure that every student has an equal opportunity to succeed. Their staff ensures that each student has easy access to classrooms and that students with anxiety or learning disorders get the help they need. SAS serves as a resource and an advocate for students with disabilities to ensure an equal access learning environment.
The Financial Aid office at UNG is a phenomenal resource for our students. Financial Aid's staff is determined to help each incoming student veteran square away all the forms and processes that go into receiving VA benefits, such as the GI Bill®.
No matter your financial status, all adult, military, veteran and professional students are encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The form is relatively easy to complete online (you may return to the site once you begin the application). Also, you receive an assessment usually the same day. In addition to being the first step in gauging your eligibility for grants, loans or other financial assistance, the form gathers information helpful in capturing the number of adults and military/veteran students attending UNG. This information guides the university in providing adequate services for its student population, including Adult Learners.

Tutoring Services is highly effective in the success of many students. Tutoring provides currently enrolled UNG students with complimentary and comprehensive tutoring in a variety of subjects. Tutoring is available on all campuses and is provided by professional and peer tutors. Tutoring conferences are available in either one-on-one or group sessions with no appointment necessary.
