The University of North Georgia offers a full range of music classes and performance opportunities for all university students, regardless of major. A wide variety of vocal and instrumental groups are open to the entire student body.
In addition, the music program offers a unique opportunity to pursue a career in music in a program small enough for personalized instruction yet large enough to provide a variety of ensembles and special activities. We offer four distinct degree programs in music including the Associate of Arts in Music or Music Education, the Bachelor of Arts in Music, the Bachelor of Science in Music Education, and the Master of Music in Performance.
The Department of Music presents many public performances each year. Student ensemble performances, student and faculty recitals, and world-class guest artist concerts are held on the Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses, and in community venues throughout the northeast Georgia region.
