Valerie is an alumna of the university and has been working here since 2006 and in the Biology Department since 2011. In addition to her duties as office administrator for the Biology Department, she is a Safe Space Listener, and served as staff council president from 2011 to 2012. While Valerie was a student at the university, she participated in study abroad programs to Toulouse, France and Quebec City; she served as an SGA representative for two years; she was active in her sorority, Delta Zeta; and she worked in the biology labs as a lab assistant and the language lab as a French tutor. She loves to meet students who are participating in similar activities at the university and is always happy to talk to them about their experiences! Her interests include running, gardening, sewing, and reading. She lives with her husband, her new baby girl, and her three furry “children”: Fizzy, Nigel, and Po.
