New Zealand
Pukekohe, New Zealand: Located on the North Island in the Auckland region, students will learn about the New Zealand education system, including inquiry learning pedagogies and Māori culture and language, as they work and travel. There will be organized opportunities to visit historical and cultural sites, including weekend trips to Rotorua and Wellington. Students will stay primarily in homestay placements where they will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Kiwi culture.
Through this program, undergraduate and graduate education majors will immerse themselves in the opportunity to learn about New Zealand education and culture as part of their final clinical placement. Students will visit multiple schools as appropriate to their area of study. Students will have the opportunity to work with teachers and staff from these schools and rotate placements during this four-week program

Program Information
Academics: Students may earn 2-3 credit hours. Course selection will depend on major.
Program Length: Four weeks, mid-March to mid-April, annually. Students will begin their final clinical internship at their COE assigned domestic placement and will finish their internship abroad at the international location.
