    New Zealand

Pukekohe, New Zealand: Located on the North Island in the Auckland region, students will learn about the New Zealand education system, including inquiry learning pedagogies and Maori culture and language as they work and travel. There will be organized opportunities to visit historical and cultural sites in both the north and south islands. Students will stay primarily in homestay placements where they will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Kiwi culture.

The purpose of this program is to provide Senior Undergraduate Education Majors with  opportunities to learn about New Zealand culture and Inquiry Based Learning. Students will visit multiple schools as appropriate to their area of study. Students will work with teachers and staff from these schools and rotate placements during this three week program. Students will have a great deal of independence during the program.
