    Photography Certificate Program at UNG

    (University of North Georgia Professional & Continuing Education)

    <Music Playing>

    Voiceover: The Photography Certificate program, at the University of North Georgia, is a professional certificate program that gives you an excellent opportunity to explore an interest in photography, as a hobby or for professional development. It is ideal for those who wish to enhance their knowledge of commercial photography or to complement careers in public relations, marketing, graphic design, or writing.

    Hillary Booth: When I started the photography program, I wanted the opportunity to learn my new equipment and this was the perfect opportunity. The instructors are great and the classes make the most difficult camera easy to use. I couldn't ask for better instructors and the classes work with my schedule. I learned a lot more than I thought I would. Now my camera goes everywhere with me and I actually know what I'm doing with it.

    Melinda Plakiotis: I started taking photography courses because I got this wonderful camera for my birthday and I didn't know how to use it. The first place I wanted to go to was the University of North Georgia, so I can take classes that were good for my schedule. The instructors have been wonderful the whole time and I've been able to learn everything I needed to know in order to use my own camera to take beautiful photos. I've had a lot of fun with the other people in my class, so I would recommend this program to anybody who is interested in photography.

    Scott Ryan: The photography program at the University of North Georgia has really opened my eyes to the photography world from the aspects of learning my camera and how to use it and how I look at what I am going to photograph. It has really opened many doors for me from taking pictures of weddings, to family gatherings, to just playing around with the pets outside.

    Kelly Gifford: I am really enjoying the Photography Certificate program and learning a lot. I have a new camera, so I really didn't know how to use it before I started class. I am learning the settings and when I do things wrong at least now I can figure out how to fix it.

    Sophie Hobbs: My husband gave me this wonderful camera and I started taking pictures, and I have really enjoyed it, but I had no idea how to work the camera. So, I figured you know what, being on automatic with such a nice camera is probably not the right thing, so I decided to be a big girl and come to class. I took the first class and absolutely loved it. After one class I felt like I had gotten way ahead of the game. I highly recommend this program, because it is really a lot of fun and it is very rewarding.
