    German Minor

    A German minor increases your knowledge and understanding of the German-speaking world. It broadens your horizons and enhances your chosen major by adding to it an international perspective. Proficiency in German increases your job opportunities in all areas. It helps you to function productively for an employer with global business connections and it opens up opportunities for study and research abroad, as Germany awards a generous number of scholarships and other support to study in Germany.

    While pursuing this minor you may also be interested in learning German first hand through study abroad opportunities through the Center of Global Engagement.

      Introduction to the German business world, with analysis of its various political and commercial institutions as well as the socio-economic aspects of contemporary Germany. Emphasis on social, economic, and business practices in fields ranging from commerce to advertising to banking. This course is designed to familiarize students with German business practices, vocabulary, and correspondence. Class conducted in German.
