30-County UNG Service Area

Positioned in the fastest growing area of the state, the University of North Georgia has five campus located north of metro Atlanta within approximately a one hour drive of the city. Nearly 80% of students enrolled at UNG come from a 30-county service area spanning Northeast Georgia with many alumni remaining or returning to the region to live and work.  Much of UNG’s 30-county service area remains rural; though there is significant commercial development along the GA Hwy. 400 and Interstate 85 / 985 corridors. 

Through a variety of initiatives, UNG seeks to expand access to higher education, improve the college completion rates, and positively impact economic development in our region.
