Generation to Generation

Our mission is to engage with the community in ways that improve quality of life for older adults, our faculty, staff, students, and future generations. We seek to document your resilience, strength and wisdom for our younger generations. We are asking for you to share your stories with us.

Your stories offer unique perspectives into life and attitudes during the 2020 pandemic and quarantine. Our goal is to collect and preserve your words (anonymously unless you desire otherwise) and make them available for future generations of students, scholars, and researchers. Nothing is too mundane to share, the “little things” help to give a complete picture of what it’s really like during these times.

The Institute for Healthy Aging has been working with faculty and students in the departments of Human Services, Gerontology, and Physical Therapy to prepare them to meet with you on the phone or through the internet. Our faculty and students are eager to hear your stories, anecdotes, and insights about surviving difficult times.

We hope you will participate in this important project and leave a legacy for generations to come.
