I love it. The professors are great. There are a lot of hands-on activities we do in labs. They create an environment where we can learn safely and help prepare us for the future.

1. Steps to Apply for University Admissions

  1. Apply for admission to the University of North Georgia using GA Futures. Both Georgia and out-of-state residents create an account with GA Futures to apply. If you cannot apply online, download a paper application and submit to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. All applicants, online and paper, will pay a non-refundable application fee.
    • On the admission application, you will need to select:
      • Transfer seeking a second bachelor’s degree as your application type.
      • Select Spring for the semester you plan to enter.
      • Choose Gainesville as your primary campus.
      • For intended major select - General Studies – BSN Pre-Nursing
      • Respond "Yes" to the next question regarding seeking an accelerated track
  2. Submit your official transcripts. You will need to submit an official transcript from each institution you have attended. We must receive the transcripts through e-script, Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, or another secure transcript delivery service directly from the institutions: choose Admissions Imaging Center or use admissions-gvl@ung.edu as the intended recipient.
    • If your institution is mailing your transcript directly to UNG: UNG Admissions Imaging Center, PO Box 1358, Gainesville, GA 30503.
    • Note: Transcripts sent by the student or parent are not considered official.
  3. If you want to be considered for in-state tuition, you must submit your verification of lawful presence. This is not required if you pay out-of-state tuition.
    • Admission to the UNG is not contingent upon proof of lawful presence.
  4. Check your admission status often to make sure we have received all your required documents.
