    Learning Support Options

Congratulations on being accepted to UNG!

Learn more about your options for satisfying your Learning Support requirements.

    1. To see what your Learning Support requirements are, check the View Application Status page.
      • Learning Support English requirements are listed in red with LS English Required.
      • Learning Support Math requirements are listed in red with either LS Foundations Level or LS Corequisite Level.
      • For more information about required coursework for each type of Learning Support requirement, check out the videos on our Learning Support Explained webpage.
    2. If you have taken ACT or SAT and have not submitted your scores, doing so will not affect your acceptance and could exempt you from your Learning Support requirements.
    3. If you have never taken the Accuplacer placement test or taken it only once since applying to UNG for the most recent term of acceptance, please consider taking Accuplacer.
      • If you have already taken Accuplacer and wish to retest, email learningsupport@ung.edu and request permission to retest. Please provide your student ID number in your email. UNG permits one retest.
      • If you have not taken Accuplacer, go to the View Applications Status page for links to the Testing Center test sessions.
    4. To prepare for the Accuplacer, check out the tips on our Placement Test Practice webpage. To determine which test/s to practice for, look under your Learning Support requirements for the red Yes. Students with Learning Support English will take the Accuplacer WritePlacer (English/Writing) and the Accuplacer Reading Comprehension tests. Students with Learning Support Math will take the Accuplacer Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QRAS) test. All required tests are taken during one test session.
    5. If you accept your Learning Support requirements and do not wish to attempt exempting them, email learningsupport@ung.edu, providing your student ID number and stating you do not wish to test. We will remove the test requirements from your Banner account.

If you wish to discuss your Learning Support requirements or have questions about them, please contact our office.
