University of North Georgia (UNG) students, alumni, family, and friends have a chance to come together and watch the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves play the Philadelphia Phillies for the second annual UNG Night at the Atlanta Braves.
The game starts at 7:20 p.m. Sept. 17 at Truist Park in Atlanta, but Nighthawks are encouraged to come out early for a UNG parade around the warning track.
The UNG Alumni Association is sponsoring the outing with more than 2,000 tickets available for UNG students, alumni, family, and friends. Tickets are $18 and must be ordered by Aug. 31, and proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the UNG Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund.

"The Alumni Association is thrilled to be hosting our second UNG Night at Truist Park to see the Atlanta Braves take on the Philadelphia Phillies," Wendi Huguley, director of alumni relations and annual giving, said. "Last year we sold 2,400 tickets, and we are looking forward to the same level of participation this year. Everyone is welcome."
Nighthawk seats will be located in sections 410-417.
Individual tickets of up to nine guests are $18 and can be purchased online. For groups of 10 or more, tickets are $16 and may be purchased by calling 706-864-1547 or by stopping by the Alumni Relations office at 70 Alumni Drive on the Dahlonega Campus.
Tickets will ship via the United States Postal Service to the shipping address provided on the transaction page, or you may select the option to pick up your tickets at the Alumni Relations office.
Attendees are encouraged to show their UNG pride be wearing blue and gold.
Klay Fann, '14, attended last year's event and went because he thought it would be a great way to catch up and reminisce.
"It was great seeing so many in North Georgia blue. I ended up seeing more people from school than I thought I would," Fann said. "It was just great to sit in the stands in unity again, and cheer for the Braves like we would in our dorm rooms on each other's futons."
Fann said he will never turn down an opportunity to watch a Braves game with some of his best friends from UNG, so he will be at Truist Park again this year.
In February of this year, the Braves brought the 2021 World Series trophy to Haines and Carolyn Hill Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park, the home of UNG's softball team on the Dahlonega Campus. It was one of 151 stops, commemorating 151 years of Braves baseball.
