The third annual University of North Georgia (UNG) Night at the Atlanta Braves is a chance for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to gather for an evening of fun and watch the Atlanta Braves play against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The event, sponsored by the UNG Alumni Association, starts at 7:20 p.m. on Sept. 9 at Truist Park in Atlanta. Just over 2,000 tickets are available for UNG alumni, students, faculty, staff, family, and friends. Tickets cost $22 for individuals and $20 for groups of 10 or more.

This event offers us a chance to really show our alumni, student body, faculty, staff, and community partners what a unique and special institution UNG is. It is a one-of-a-kind event for our UNG family.

Alumni Relations officer

"This event offers us a chance to really show our alumni, student body, faculty, staff, and community partners what a unique and special institution UNG is," Jared Patterson, Alumni Relations officer for young alumni, said. "It is a one-of-a-kind event for our UNG family.”

The event was initiated by UNG Alumni Association board members Nick Miller and James Wright just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Having to pivot for safety, the event was first held in 2021 on Sept. 11 when the Braves faced the Miami Marlins.

Designed to engage with UNG alumni, all proceeds from Night at the Braves ticket sales will benefit the UNG Alumni Association.

The event is open to students on all five campuses of UNG and is sure to be a special time for the UNG community. Members of the Corps of Cadets, Fraternity and Sorority Life and other organizations will be in attendance.

UNG's sections for the night are 410-417 with cadets specifically in section 414. All tickets are non-refundable and will be distributed digitally to the email address provided at purchase. Children ages 2 and under may be admitted to Braves games without a ticket. However, they must sit in the lap of an accompanying adult. Children ages 3 and above require a ticket.

For more information on the event and to purchase tickets visit https://ungalumni.org/braves. Details on purchasing group tickets can be answered by calling 706-864-1547 or by stopping by the Alumni House at UNG's Dahlonega Campus.
