Dr. Zhu received his Ph.D. in art history from Ohio State University and had taught at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Chicago before coming to the University of North Georgia. His research investigates modern Chinese art and its complex ties to tradition and globalism. He is also interested in print culture, history of photography, and cross-cultural comparison. His writings have been published in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and encyclopedias.
