    Transportation FAQ

    Shuttles

    • What campuses offer the shuttle service?

      Dahlonega and Gainesville

    • When does the shuttle run?

Shuttles run with the academic calendar for the Fall & Spring semester.

    • What are the shuttle hours?

      Dahlonega Shuttle Hours

      Dahlonega – Inner Campus Route

      Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

      Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

      Extended Hours

      Monday - Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

      Gainesville Shuttle Hours

Gainesville Inner Campus & Off-Campus Routes

      Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

      Friday 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

    • How can I track the shuttles?

Search for Passio GO in the App store or Google play.

    • What accessibility features do the shuttles offer?

We have three handicap accessible shuttles; two in Dahlonega and one in Gainesville.

    • Can I get off the bus somewhere other than a posted stop?

No. To ensure the safety of riders, pedestrians and automobile drivers, UNG buses are only authorized to stop at posted stops. It is especially dangerous to run after and attempt to flag down a bus that has left a stop and is merging with other traffic. Serving non-posted stops also increases the travel time and the likelihood that the bus cannot maintain its schedule.

    • What if I left something on the shuttle?

Call Parking Services Dahlonega at 706-864-1697 or Gainesville at 678-717-3914. We will do our best to locate your lost item. It is always helpful to provide as much information as possible about both your trip and your item (i.e. time of day of your trip; color, shape, brand name of your item).

    • Does the shuttle run on the weekends?

      No, not at this time.

    • Is there a shuttle that runs from the Dahlonega campus to Gainesville campus?

      No, not at this time.

    • How do I suggest a change in the bus service?
Contact the Transportation Supervisor by calling 706-864-1697 or e-mail.
    • What if I am not satisfied with the bus service?

We attempt to offer the best possible service. We constantly strive to improve service and your feedback is very important. Please share service concerns or complaints via e-mail, or call 706-864-1697.

    • Do you really take my complaints seriously?

We take your complaints and suggestions seriously. We investigate all comments and complaints and make adjustments in service where possible.
