Postal Services

Postal Services Adjusted Hours

Postal Services is operating in accordance with the Return to Campus Plans.

Campus-specific operations are as follows:

  • Dahlonega - Incoming mail pick-up and out-going mail drop-off is now available at the service window in Hoag.
    • Hours of Operation:
      • Mon. - Thurs. 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
      • Fri. 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Gainesville - Incoming mail pick-up and out-going mail drop-off is available at the Logistical Services warehouse loading dock.
    • Please email Eddie Morgan to schedule a pick-up or drop-off time

Intercampus courier services are operating on a limited schedule as follows:

  • Dahlonega/Gainesville: Monday - Thursday
  • Oconee: Wednesday
  • Blue Ridge/Cumming: as needed

All campus routes are going back to their usual schedule.

Attention New Resident Students

New Resident Students must request a mailbox using the form below.
  • The University of North Georgia (UNG) Department of Postal Services provides mailing services to both on and off-campus locations. 
  • We also provide UPS information and act as an unofficial drop off location.
  • Students receiving packages too large to fit in the mailbox (or items with a tracking number) will receive an email to their UNG emails, which must be presented at the service window for the package (see Guidelines and Procedures for mailing items to the school).
  • The Dahlonega campus post office is closed Saturday and Sunday.

  • We service student boxes on the Dahlonega campus, as well as process departmental mail.
  • We forward mail to students for one year following a student withdrawal, using the Registrar’s record of their home address.
  • We receive packages from USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL.
  • We ship out mail and packages from USPS.
  • We sell stamps, and we have forms for most USPS mail services but we take cash or check only.
  • We process interdepartmental mail or student mail and packages to other students, departments, or campuses at no cost.
  • We maintain a list on Banner of the student box numbers.
