Commitments to Legacy Making

Commitments to Legacy Making

Legacy-making means we want to be a university that is committed to changing the trajectory of the lives of our students – especially students who do not believe college is for them or grew up in a family where college was not a part of the value proposition.

Differentiate the University of North Georgia and position us to become the most innovative, dynamic, legacy-making university in America.

Evergreen Scholar

The economy is fundamentally changing before our eyes. Prices continue to rise. The marketplace continues to evolve. People need to be educated and learn for their lifetime. We need to be responsive to these changes. We need to be a place where students don’t come for four years, but for life.

Let’s remember what “Alma mater” actually means.  It is Latin for nourishing mother.

So, no matter your stage in life. No matter your situation or station – UNG provides lifelong nourishment to equip every student and alumni with the tools they need to tackle what comes next. To continue to walk toward their purpose.

We call this Evergreen Scholar - Where learning never stops. Where curiosity is forever stoked, and UNG is beside you for life. We are reimagining what traditionally was Professional & Continuing Education an approach to deliver educational value and perspective for learners throughout the course of their lifetime.

Our approach is novel and will be integral to delivering a university that does not exist.

Moonshot: By 2030, UNG will become a university which provides every alumnus affordable education for a lifetime fully aligned with the marketplace with opportunities for all learners to join along the way.
