Transfer Coaches

Have you transferred to UNG from another institution and need assistance? Transfer coaches support transfer students before, during, and after orientation and up to the first year UNG. Students can expect their transfer coach to be available for one-on-one appointments, phone calls, and emails.

Some Topics of Assistance Can Include:

  • Credit Articulation/Equivalency
  • Transfer Student Orientation Information
  • Referrals to Campus Resources and Support
  • Most Frequently Asked Questions

Any questions that are not answered by a transfer coach will be referred to the specified office or department for a follow-up. Connecting with your transfer coach is an opportunity to tailor your needs as new nighthawk and start your journey at UNG.

Why did you choose UNG, and what do you enjoy about being a Nighthawk?
I chose UNG because it was the perfect size/environment to create strong student-teacher relationships while still getting that community feel. I love being a Nighthawk because it has opened many doors of opportunities that I might not have gotten elsewhere.

How did you overcome your transfer struggles?
I struggled with the online format of the classes. Mentally transferring over from one online format to another proved to be quite difficult, but I was eventually able to understand it after trial and error.

Why did you choose UNG, and what do you love about being a Nighthawk?

I chose UNG because I had heard it offered a very good education program, and I had toured one of the five campuses many times during my high school career. The openness of the campus and kind staff always caught my eye. That was when I decided to become a Nighthawk.
