What should students bring to a tutoring session?
problems that have been attempted
textbook and notes from class
specific areas of concern
formula sheet and calculators, if necessary
What should students expect from the session?
Tutoring is first-come-first-served, and may involve you working independently while the tutor helps other people. Tutors help students learn how to solve the problem; they don’t complete homework for students.
I was absent from class; can you teach me what I missed?
Not by ourselves. You should see your instructor during office hours first, and then come to us with your specific concerns.
