Elevate your event in the heart of Northeast Georgia with the University of North Georgia (UNG). With diverse, modern venues across five campuses—including multipurpose facilities ideal for conferences, concerts, job fairs, tournaments, and large-scale meetings, UNG provides the perfect setting for gatherings of all sizes. Our Event & Venue Operations (EVO) team delivers full-service support including AV, IT, catering, and consultative planning to ensure every event is seamless and successful.

UNG also offers exceptional options for youth and young adult camps, from day programs to overnight experiences for up to 500 participants. With a variety of spaces, services, and on-campus resources available, our dedicated staff provides the guidance you need to bring your camp vision to life.

Venue Spaces

The Dahlonega campus is located in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia, only one hour from the Atlanta airport. This campus provides historic beauty combined with updated technology and professional support to make your event truly impressive.

Convocation Center

  • 103,000-square-foot
  • 3,600 seat arena provides the opportunity for many diversified events. 
  • Multipurpose facility capable of hosting a variety of events such as job fairs, concerts, conferences, tournaments and large-scale meetings

Pennington Suite

  • Located inside the Convocation Center for convenient access to arena and event spaces 
  • Divisible into three rooms (A/B/C) for flexible event planning 
  • Equipped with integrated sound systems, microphones, and projection in each section 
  • Provides ample space for trainings, orientations, meetings, and special events 
  • Features scenic views of campus with direct visibility into the Convocation arena below 

Cottrell Ballroom

  • Premier event space located in the Cottrell Center for Business, Technology & Innovation 
  • Ideal for conferences, lectures, receptions, and professional development events 
  • Frequently used for speaker series, academic symposiums, career events, and campus programs 
  • Equipped with contemporary presentation technology to support dynamic events 
  • Convenient location within the business college hub, providing easy access for guests and presenters 

Banquet Room

  • Flexible event space conveniently located in the heart of campus
  • Ideal for receptions, meals, and other events requiring flexible setup options and a need for formal catering service
  • Equipped with dual projectors and screens, and an integrated audio system
  • Divisible into two separate spaces for flexible event planning
  • Provides seamless access to the outdoor Veranda, offering the flexibility to host indoor events complemented by outdoor service and gathering areas, all with stunning views of the expansive Drill Field and the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains

The Gainesville campus is located in Oakwood, Exit 16 off of 985, only 45 minutes from the Atlanta airport. This campus provides updated technology and professional support to make your event truly impressive.
