Overview

Currently, Dr. Jackson teaches reading courses to undergraduate preservice teachers in the ELE-SPED department. Dr. Jackson also teaches graduate courses to inservice teachers who are seeking a reading endorsements as well as an ESOL endorsement.
Before working at UNG, Dr. Jackson worked as a reading specialist at a Title 1 school in Gwinnett County Public School district for 12 years.

Dr. Jackson is leading an outreach literacy community service project with other faculty members at a mobile community park in Gainesville, GA. The mobile literacy clinic project provides reading and writing support for K-5 students within their own community. Our mission is to help students reach their full potential.
