The office of Global Military Programs (GMP) offers international programs specifically for UNG cadets. Our cadets have the unique opportunity to participate in international military educational exchange programs, international cadet conferences, and international internships.
An international military exchange program is a semesterly educational program abroad where cadets earn academic credit while participating in a foreign university’s cadet program.
Dual enrollment not permitted.
To be eligible for this program:
UNG cadet
18 years or older
Completion of 30-credit-hours prior to departure
Good academic and disciplinary standing with UNG, PMS and the Commandant
The hosting military academy may have additional requirements. The GMP advisor will have more information on this.
International Cadet Conferences are fully-funded, not-for-credit, short duration forums that provide professional development. Interaction with international cadet peers abroad broaden cadet’s perspectives concerning international security affairs, military leadership, the profession of arms, and strategic studies.

Only two students will be selected each year for each location.

Must not have previously attended a Cadet International Conference

Cadets can gain professional experience in their field by completing short term work internationally for academic credit. Interning abroad is a great way to experience another culture, improve foreign language, and gain professional experience in your field.

Completion of 48-credit-hours prior to departure
