"I would like to be able to accomplish a research opportunity with the aid of McNair. I would also like to learn more about graduate schools, and I would also like to get help with learning about scholarship applications and learning how to apply for scholarships. I would also like to participate and learn more about seminars."

"As an undergraduate Psychology major and a nontraditional, first generation college student, my dream is to earn my master’s degree Counseling and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. The McNair Scholars program will enable me to become a well-rounded student who is prepared to tackle the challenges of a career and graduate education through mentoring, accountability, and graduate program education, giving me a competitive chance to succeed in graduate school."

"I am very excited to be part of the McNair program at UNG. McNair will give me the opportunity to complement my education with an independent research project under the guidance of my mentor. As I prepare to apply to competitive graduate programs, I will get assistance studying for my GRE, developing my Curriculum Vitae, and formulating my personal statement. I know the experience and extra educational opportunities afforded me through this program will give me an edge for graduate school. The McNair program will support me in my pursuit of my Ph.D. in counseling psychology. I could not be more grateful for this opportunity."
